Built for Nigerian universities

Every class update. From the source. On time.

Cancelled classes, venue changes and deadlines, posted by your lecturer or an approved course rep, verified, and on your phone the moment they go out. Not buried in a group chat.

Try it: post as a lecturer

The problem

The message that mattered got buried.

One line from the class rep says the venue changed. Then come a hundred others. By the time you open the chat, it has scrolled out of sight, and you are in the wrong hall.

81%

of students we surveyed have missed important information buried in a group chat: 100 of 124.

What Classyn does

Everything your course tells you, in one place you can trust.

One verified feed per course

Every update from your lecturers and course reps, in its own course. Pinned posts first; urgent changes stand out.

Alerts the moment it is posted

On Android and iPhone. Cancellations and venue changes get their own urgent channel. Quiet hours if you want them.

Deadlines, counted down

Every assignment, test and exam with a reminder, plus your own private deadlines.

Your week, in your calendar

Classes and your own plans in your phone's calendar, with alarms that ring with no data.

Your GPA, semester by semester

Save each semester and see your CGPA, your trend, and what next semester needs.

CGPA so far 3.30 over 90 units · 24 units next semester

CGPA 3.44 Second Class Lower

4.25 next semester reaches Second Class Upper.

A board for every course

Ask your class, help each other, and vouch for the classmates who help you most.

Also in Classyn: official notices from your school, academic calendar reminders, office-hour booking, course materials, Tips, and a guided tour on your first day.

For everyone on campus

Built for the whole class, not just the group admin.

  • Every course's updates, verified, in one feed.
  • Instant alerts for cancellations and venue changes.
  • Timetable and deadlines in your phone's calendar, alarms included.
  • Your own plans and deadlines, private to you.
  • GPA history, course boards, office hours and course materials.

Why you can trust it

Every post carries a fingerprint. Try to change one.

Each post's fingerprint is built on the one before it, like links in a chain. Change or delete any post and every fingerprint after it stops matching. Anyone can check.

All 5 posts verify.

An illustration of how Classyn's verification works, not live data.

Verified at the source

Only a course's lecturers or an approved course rep can post to it, checked on our server. Every post says who sent it.

Never quietly changed

Posts are never edited. A correction is a new post linked to the old one, and any post can be checked from a public link.

Built for real networks

Notifications wait for your phone to reconnect. Calendar alarms ring with no data. Reminders still go out after an outage.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Who can post to my course?

Only the lecturers teaching it and course reps they have approved. That is checked on our server, not just hidden in the app, and every post shows who sent it. Your school admin can also send school-wide notices.

Can a post be edited or deleted after it goes out?

No. A mistake is corrected with a new post linked to the original. A lecturer can archive an old post off the board, but it stays on the record and can still be verified.

How do I know an announcement is genuine?

Each post carries a fingerprint built on the one before it, so an edited or removed post shows up when a course's history is checked. Tap Verify in any course, or share a public link that lets anyone check a single post.

What if my network is poor or I run out of data?

Notifications are tiny and wait for your phone to reconnect. Your timetable and deadlines can go into your phone's calendar, whose alarms ring with no data at all.

I have an iPhone. Where is the app?

The App Store version is coming. Today, open app.classyn.org in Safari and add it to your Home Screen: it opens like an app and gets notifications (iOS 16.4 or later).

Is my information private?

Your own plans, deadlines and GPA history are visible to you alone. Your matric number is shown only to your lecturers. You can download a copy of your data or delete your account from Settings at any time.
